My son is 2 month old and I'm using Playtex ( Avance) bottle. It also eliminates bobbles and reduces air swallowing for the babies.

That sort of nipple confusion is very rare actually. Its when a newborn is exposed to a bottle nipple before it has properly learned to latch onto the breast, and before the mother has learned to properly nurse that it ends up with an inability to learn latch on.
Once latch on and nursing has been soundly established its safe to start using a bottle.
There are many nipples out there that are more like the breast than others, you can opt for those to make it simpler.

At first I used Avent, but my son always gagged. My mom insisted even while I was pregnant to use Playtex with the disposable liners, but I didn't want to. I tried bottle after bottle and the only bottle he will take is the Playtex with the disposable liners. You can buy them in 4 or 8 oz bottles, its a starter bottle (basically) and it comes with 5 liners for like $3.

I wish I could tell you the best bottle but this will be chosen by your baby. I went through 5 bottle types before my son decided on the one he liked. I would first try out the larger nippled bottles by gerber: the confort hold bottles with the comfort latch nippels are good. My son finally chose the dollar playtex bottles. It really is up to the child.

i loved the avent bottles! if your going to both breast and bottle feed most doctors and lacatation experts say not to introduce the bottle until nursing habits are firmly established at around 6 to 8 weeks. the avent bottle have a more natural design and seem to allow baby to sollow less gas that other nipples. a suggestion to see a lactation expert in the hospital (most hospitals have them) helped me out a lot when i had my daughter

The brand recomend by most is Avent. It prevents colic. It's best to breast feed as much as you can as they are proven to be better milk for baby. Anyway, baby won't be confuse about nipples & bottle feed. They will just continue to drink especially they are extreme hungry.

Avent is the one that has worked best for me. I tried one of the Evenflo bottles and he really only took to the Avent ones. They're a little more expensive, but totally worth it. If you have a Target near you, they go on sale there every couple of months.

the avent bottles. they have bigger softer nipples more like the breast. my two girls did great with them. they are sold in two sizes also so they are great for newborns and older babies as well. also make sure you dont introduce the baby to a bottle until he/ she is about three weeks. that can also cause nipple confusion

Playtex bottles with disposable bags they have nipples just like real breast. You can find them in many shapes. They were a life saver because my son took to it just like my nipple and he still breast fed. I am going to buy it also for my baby which will be here in two and a half months.

Avent bottles are made to support breast feeding, as well as the Playtex nurser system. As long as you wait more than 4wks from birth and breast feeding is established/don't have milk supply issues then you can use either of these.
