Hello, I have two laptop, how can i share the file with each computer? Both of my computer connect to the internet using wireless card and router to the same network.

I also enable file sharing...but still not see the share file..

I try to used the Network Wizard to share file (with same group name) but no luck.

Both computer installed Windows XP Home.

PLEASE HELP me STEP BY STEP...!

If they are both on the same workgroup, try pinging each other. If you get succesfull ping then you probably have settings the wrong way on the permissions. Right click on my network places and click the link that says view workgroup computers. You should be able to see both of them there. Make sure you have the cdrive shared and with full permissions to network users. Also try going to start - run and type \\192.168.-.- (whatever the ipaddrss of the other machine is) and see if you have access. If you get the "not enough permission error" then you are missing something.

You need to create a network of your own. Connect the two PC's together on a hub then to the Internet. It is not a good idea to have File Sharing enabled on a PC facing the Internet unless you have a good firewall.

Well the email would work but much more efficient to go buy a flash drive for $25 or so and it will hold one gig and you can get all your files quickly to your new computer instead of the 10MB at a time email attachment limit.

i cant give you steps but heres a suggestion, create 2 email edresses 1 on each computer, copy that file, and email it?

Email things to yorself. Attach files and GO!

just build a peer to peer connection between them using an RJ45 connector

each computer has to have access permissions from the other computer.
