Keep her finger nails trimmed and cuticle nipped. Do not bit her nails otherwise hangnails will occur. Hangnails are tiny pieces of fingernail left on the side of the skin, usually causes irritation or pain. Keep her hands moisturized by applying lotion as many times as possible especially after washing nails.

Unless she's rough or something it's not a big deal. I don't recommend long nails for kids in school tho. It's just a lot of mess and she risks chipping a nail or two.
Get short nails and they'll stay cuter longer!

she should wear clear or light colored nailpolish so that if it does chip it won't be as noticeable until she can get it fixed. i rub oil into my nails too so that they stay flexible.
