No, the song was written for her but she died before she actually got to sing it. It wasn't til the writer saw Leann Rimes sang the national anthem at a football game that the guy found the person who would sing the song just like Patsy would. I believe that's the whole story, but Patsy died before she got to sing the song.

Umm- Yeah! Patsy Cline sang it in the 50's. She died years ago. Long before Leann Rimes was even a Thought.

I don't think she did. From what I understand, the song was written for Brenda Lee but she never recorded it. Patsy Cline had a big hit with Crazy. They sound kind of similar. Willie Nelson wrote Crazy, as well as many other great songs.
