I was "let go" once because "the business wasn't doing well." Then I found out it was more because I wouldn't play the boss's "games" but the other girl he had hired after me wasn't fired. Guess she knew the rules to the game. I wouldn't have played anyway and turned out I got a much more respectable job with better pay and hours! Would probably have a sexual harrassment suit nowadays.

Inventing someting and having my superior fire me so he can take credit for it.
Making so much money for someone that they took it all overseas to avoid taxes and forgot to take me.
Boss was getting divorced and wanted to make the company look worthless to his wife's lawyer so he fired the companies main stars. ... me. It worked out though because for some reason he hired me back right after the divorce.

Told a boss if he didn't have $15,000 on my desk by the end of the day I am quiting. I miss the tech booom... It worked back then.

I walked out of my job (waitress) one day because I figured I wasn't needed since it was slow. Came back the next day and was told that I was no longer wanted because I might start a chain reaction with my radical thinking. Found out a few months later that I did start a chain reaction. And was happy to find that since they "fired" me and didn't pay me vaction time, 3 years later I recieved over $200 by mail as payment plus interest.
Got a job no problem, didn't even have to interview for it. I am morally correct and it shows.

I got this amazing opportunity to be an extra in a movie that was shooting in our local town. So of course, I had to call in sick, right? I had so much fun doing something this close to hollywood and feeling like a star for a day. I went back into work excited to share every detail of who I saw and what I did - FORGETTING- that I called in sick! I remember thinking why are they looking at me so pissed of for?

I didn't last longer than an hour before I got fired. ahh... so worth it.

One of the partners at the CPA firm where I worked make a cheap comment about the ashes on my forehead-it was Ash Wednesday, I'm a practicing RC- I told him if he had a problem with me, that it wasn't the only sweatshop in town- I was on the street in 15 minutes. I wound up as an financial analyst at the local power company(They paid better and had some real benefits!), and I ran into the @#$% in line at Staples about two years later.. I told him"...Think of me when you get your electric bill, a$$hole..."
