it's hard to say.
'Sorcerer's Stone' was the first movie to bring the magical world of harry potter to the big screen.
'Chamber of Secrets' was an even better adventure to the previous one.
'Prisoner of Azkaban' was the start of Harry's darker side of life but it was still good. This one was cool because Hermione (or Emma, which ever way you wanna look at it) finally punched Malfoy.
'Goblet of fire' was very exciting because of the TriWizard Tournament; dragons, mermaids, psycho hedges of the maze...awesome.
'Order of the Phoenix' will be the most anticipated movie for all Potter fans. (and some non-Potter fans.) 'Its more action-packed.' [said Bonnie Wright in an MTV on the set interview.]
All Potter movies gradually increase on the scale of 'outstanding potter movie of its time.'
But my opinion to the 'best' Potter movie would be....'Sorcerer's Stone.' only because it's the first one that introduced everything in harry's life; quidditch, his horrible relatives, great friends, trolls, centaurs, etc.
What did I think about 'Order of the Phoenix?' When I saw it before Happy Feet...i was totally gobsmacked!
I sat there like this (:oO

Most people seem to prefer the 4th movie, Goblet of Fire, but I prefer the first two movies directed by Chris Columbus. I prefer those ones because it seems to me like they managed to stick more to the actual plot and managed to maintain the natural atmosphere and flow of the story. Maybe this is also because they had the same director. Ever since Chris Columbus left, the directors kept changing and this disrupted the initial flow of the story. Some of you may have noticed this. And starting with Prisoner of Azkaban the movies lost thier initial naturality, which was disappointing to me. They kept filling them with specific Hollywoodian stuff just to make them more appealing to the general public instead of caring more about maintaining the naturality of the story and respecting its pattern. But I don't mean I don't like them. I like all the movies, I just prefer the first two.

As far as the trailer for OTP is concerned... I'm not sure what to think. It's certainly interesting and teases my imagination just like it is supposed to. It was a bit too dark for my taste, but that is the atmosphere of the book, too, so I think it's great they respected that and managed to show the obvious evolution to darkness of the story.

I haven't seen the 5th trailer yet, but I liked the first movie (Sorceror's Stone) best.

In the later movies, magical things are taken for granted. In the first movie, almost every scene is something new, so the entire film is one big adventure!

I think the 4th is the best so far, though I did like the 3rd a lot. I cant wait until the 5th Movie comes out, its going to be awesome! It looks like they did a spectacular job, specially with Umbridge (though they could of made her look a little uglier). Its going to be awesome.
