log(x + 8) = log(x) + log(8)
According to the laws of logs, log(a) + log(b) = log(ab)
So, log(x) + log(8) = log (8x)
log(x + 8) = log(8x)
The 'logs' cancel each other out.
x + 8 = 8x
x - 8x + 8 = 0
-7x + 8 = 0
-7x = -8
The minus signs cancel each other out
7x = 8
x = 8/7

log(x+8)=logx+log8
using 1st Law of log :log(a+b)=logab
log(x+8)=log8x
Find antilog of both sides to remove log
8x=x+8
8x-x=8
7x=8
divide both sides by 7
x=8/7
plug in answer
log(8/7+8)=0.96

log(x+8)=log(x)+log(8)
log(x+8)=log(x*8)
x+8=8x
x=8/7

you can dro logs in 2nd line because log is always increasing
