No!!! Don't ever feel bad becaue you love to read. I've been a book-aholic for my entire life! I don't think I've gone more than a day without reading since 6th grade. Actually, you could probably make a good career out of it too. I'm currently getting my masters in Library Science so I can hang out around books and people that like to read all day long.
Embrace who you are and don't let anyone tell you it's wrong. Trust me its much better to spend your time reading than watching tv or playing video games. while those people are struggling to get through materials in college, you'll be breezing by because you're so used to reading. So, my fellow reader, you are not wierd! Be who you are :)

No it certainly not! Reading can take you to the most fabulous places, at any point in time! You can fight with Admiral Nelson at the battle of Trafalgar, Or be a Knight with King Arther at the round table! Or even be thousands of light years away, in a spaceship, fighting aliens with laser weapons! Or a fighter pilot in world war two, flying a spitfire over Europe! All these things are possible with the power of the written word! No! you are not weird my son! you are brilliant! for seeing what others have missed all their lives! And the sorry thing about it is, they will never go where you've been! You have a good day! Where ever you are in your book!

Not at all. I am an avid reader and often read 2 books at a time unless it is something that requires assimilation and then I read just the one. I read about 1 book a day. I hate to be idle. It doesn't matter that no one else in my family likes to read or that few of my friends enjoy this pastime. I do and that is what matters.
Reading is a stress reliever; it is a great way to keep your mind stimulated and your brain working. It is easy for your mind to become stagnant. Just keep reading as long as you enjoy it!

Think about that question for a second. You're essentially asking if it's wrong to be yourself. It's NEVER wrong to be yourself, it's one of the best characteristics a person can have. I assume you are pretty young, and your main concern right now is fitting in. I know it's important in teenager's lives - but as you go through life and mature you will find that you get much more respect for being true to yourself. Reading is a great hobby, it will get you far in life if you stick to it. I have always loved to read, and have never had problems fitting in. Why would you want to be less educated just to be "cool" - to me conforming to someone else's idea of normal is the most uncool thing you can do.
Good luck!

Absolutely not! Why would it be bad to love to read? Both my ex-boyfriend and my husband say that I am like an addict. I am constantly reading at least one book (I have three on the go at present). Reading improves your verbal and communication skills, increases your volcabulary and improves your grammar. I also have to do at lot of reading as part of my day to day work, as I am an auditor and have to review contracts as part of my audit programs. I would be really stuck if I didn't enjoy reading. Remember, you are never alone if you have a book.

Absolutely not! Reading is an excellent way to gain knowledge, escape to a foreign country, go back in time, find prince charming -- whatever the genre you read, keep reading.
There's nothing better than curling up with a good book on a cold winter day.
now quit reading these answers and go back to your book :)

Don't you dare let peeps keep you from reading. They can't imagine what in the world anyone would see in a boring book. That is the truth. They are missing out on an entire world of entertainment and knowledge. Keep reading. It opens the entire world up.

Of coarse not, what is bad is your worring about some (more than likley) ignorant peoples opinions. Reading is, and will remain to be, a part of history that can never be forgoten. What do those people do for entertainment, and how do they excersize their mind? Or do they have one?

It is never never never weird or negative in any way to love reading! You learn things, you entertain yourself, and you increase your perspective of life. And what can possibly be bad about that? Keep reading, and let no one tell you it isn't good. Besides, nobody else can tell you what to love! ;)
