This is probably one of the most common causes of yeast infections in women but it can affect men too. Get some yogurt that has the live bacteria in it (acidofillis or lactobacillis) you can also buy these in a capsule form from most grocery and health food stores.

Yes, you can get a yeast infection from antibiotics. Antibiotics also decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills.
Don't let this discourage you from taking antibiotics. They help in resolving a worse condition.

It's possible.
Antibiotics kill all of the bugs in your body; including the good ones.
Eat yogurt while you're taking the antibiotics. It will help to settle the bugs in your system so that you won't get a yeast infection.

The normal flora is killed by the antibiotic thus you end up with a yeast infection. OTC cream and yogurt will fix you right up in a couple days!

Yes it is very likely for many women, my mother gets them whenever she takes antibiotics, if you do get one use canesten (spelling probably off ) or another yeast infection cream to help you with the job. You could also get your doctor to prescribe you a pill or cream for yeast infections while taking the anti-biotics.

YES! Antibiotics kill ALL the bacteria in your system, even the good bacteria that keeps yeast in check. A good tip is to eat lots of Plain, you can mix it with fresh fruit) yogurt, do not buy the store flavored one, they are loaded with sugars, and sweeteners that yeast thrive on! Eat it as much as you can to replenisgh your good healthy bacteria, if you are not much of a yogurt eater, try taking probiotic supplements, and avoid sugars and grains for the first half of your persciption, then add them back in in moderation.
