In older Internet Explorer browsers, click on Tool>Internet Options and then click on Delete Cookies and Delete Internet Files. In the new IE 7.0, click on Tools>Internet Options>Delete and choose the options of things you want to delete (files, passwords, cookies, etc).
You can also choose the amount of disk space used to cache files and the lenght of time they are kept. Changing these settings can help. You can also go to Tools>Internet Options, click on the Advanced Tab and check off the box that says "Empty Temporary Internet Files Folder when browser is closed" under the section titled Security.
