i would go with the cinnamon bread, it is a more of a "homey" feel dessert.

BETTER YET - I'd check to see if there's any bakeries in their area, and if they have gift certificates - that way she can get a dessert of her choice, freeing you of the chance of getting something she doesn't like - and showing that you are being thoughtful of the fact that she likes desserts, and went to enough trouble to find a place near them where she can go to satisfy her sweet tooth.
