well you simply dont ship it until you receive funds, make sure its through paypal. dont accept a cashier or bank check, they look real and can fool the banks as well until weeks later when they retract your funds. Just get a shipping confirmation, when the item is delivered he will have to sign for it, its only a few dollars, and well worth it

well,
1) when he submits payment via paypal, then paypal will give you the bidder's address. use paypal to create the shipping lable for you (it comes with tracking, YOU will need this if should anything happen if the bidder claims non-delivery) Make SURE YOU also purchase INSURANCE. Its a small fee that can do you good later on! Insure it for the amount he paid!

2) make sure before sending out the item, that the person you're sending it to is a CONFIRMED buyer through paypal (you will see the word confirmed next to their name) if they are not confirmed , refund and tell them to confirm their address before payment, then resend payment via paypal. The confirmed address is to make sure that you are SENDING it to the right place. Paypal will back you up if should anything happen.

-- word of warning. if they ask you to send it to a different address, deny that you will and that you are ONLY able to send it o the confirmed address on the Paypal account

3) once payment is made, and you have a confirmed buyer payment, and made your shipping lable, immediately initiate the funds to be transferred to your bank account.

Make sure you box the system carefully and with CARE! all they need to do is make a claim that the system arrived damaged and you'd be SOL. Take pictures of your system , showing all sides of the box before packing. This will also help you if they claim the system was damaged prior to shipping.

YOU have to do your due diligence to protect yourself, especially at the price you just sold that system for.
