They think they are doing right by God, and the sad thing is they aren't. They hate us. They want to take over America so bad that it hurts. This is a fight not only against America and Iran or Afghanastan, This is a fight between God and Satan. Now i'm not very religious, but this is what this world is comming down too. Too many people are getting killed and for what reason? Because they are Good. They hate us, they hate the flag because it stands for our FREEDOM. Something that they do not have. I get so upset because the victims are really the families. I know this what was done in the vietnam war, but reguardless it should not have happened. Eavh flag stands for something. After 911, I was watching the History Channel live, and i saw a video tape of those people, dancing around our flag burning it to the ground! I cried. The iraqi's were so happy and there was a big banner for George Bush saying: Mr. Pres. Here lies your grave! They just hate us.By Burning it they think they are doing right..........................

Burning the flag is not anti-American. In fact, historically it could be argued that burning the flag was an act of protest. Flags have been burned in many protests not to establish something against all that is American but to protest a particular political act, for example, the war in Vietnam. Flags are also burned in ritual, especially in military ceremonies.

Am a Southerner I like to burn the Yankee flag on occasion. In private in my back yard or fireplace. and remember the half million people killed, the Innocent Southern women and children & men.killed by the damn Yankee Bastards ordered against us by that Lincoln fellow who I pray is now burning in hell cause I sure dont wont to meet him if I make it to heaven.when the troops burned Columbia. my greatgrandmother came runing out of her burning home. with her son in a blanket in her arms, a yankee took the blanket away from her as her home burned to the ground. My great uncle had to have his leg amputated because of a Yankee bullet.that ruined his life. a Yankee took most of my Greatgrandfathers land thousands of acres. they burned my grandfathers home down. took all he had.I injoy burning that damn Yankee flag. That troops flew into battle against my people.

What do you think preventing the flag from burning accomplishes...it's just a piece of cloth...a symbol. Although I respect the flag, I just figure some third world minor stitched it together at fifty cents a day, so no big deal.

It's an "in your face - your own laws allow me to do this.. How stupid are you" kind of thing. I don't think too many flag burnings happen in Tennessee.

Getting attention. The only thing that a person who sets fire to a flag wants is attention.

Flag burners usually own the flag they are burning. Therefore it is not ours.

I don't care. Just as long as they're protesting peacefully and not engaging in violent behavior, I could care less.
