Try for something knee length with a cute neckline. If you pick strapless, put on some kind of cute bolero or wrap around your shoulders. If you are on the younger side (teen to 25) I would suggest something like a black strapless knee length with a denim crop jacket. The denim expresses that you're still young and flirty, overall, the outfit is very event appropriate.

If you feel the need to wear color, go ahead, as long as it isn't white or isn't similiar to the bridesmaids' dresses whether in style or color.

If the event is informal, pants would be ok, as long as they aren't denim. Gauchos and cargo capris are cute with a dressy top.

To sum it all up, be formality appropriate, never wear the wedding colors or white, and skirts/dresses should be knee to mid-calf (anything longer or shorter looks like an attempt to upstage the bride or just plain looks trashy) and no bare shoulders or midriff!

something absolutely beautiful but not too flashy.
black is always a good colour (this coming from a bride)
If you are going to go with a dress of any colour try to find out what colour the bridesmaid dresses are and the style. You definitely DO NOT want to look like a bridesmaid wanna be

Obvious stylish and not flashy.

Not so obvious...Black may be traditional, but not at weddings. Think bright colors. Just because its winter you don't need heavy. It will be heated. Do not look like the bridesmaids, but a different bridesmaid style dress would be a great choice.

You should wear a nice dress, not white and not the color of the wedding party. Have the dress length be right above the knee, your young show that off! Make sure to accessorized, with the perfect jewelry
