the only important thing to remember is that multiplying both sides of and inequality reverses the direction of the ineqality:

for example:

1<2, now multiply by -1
-1>-2

additions and subtractions do not change the inequality. For your equation the x has a positive coefficient, so you can expect the inequality to remain the same.
