I tried EVERYTHING and I cant get it off. Will CLR or Limeaway get it off? Can it be used safely? Is there something else I can use?

CLR, etc. should do the trick. I usually find that I can do it with hot water and salt as a scrubbing agent.

Just rinse very well before you rebuild the tank!

Prevent this by doing frequent water changes. If you change out a liter or so of water every day, you'll not only keep the levels nice and high, but you'll prevent the staining as well.

Your best bet is CLR or vinegar, CLR will work quickly, the vinegar needs to set. Just rinse that tank very well after you're done as a residue or either would not be good for your turtle.

if you dont use too much and not allow any if possible of it to get into the water, Liquid PH down does very well. I found out by accident, id rather not say how, but the good thing that came out of it is that water stains wipe away easily. I pour a very little bit on an algae pad, and lightly scrub. comes off no problem. even if some ph down goes in the tank, unless you over use it you wont have any effect on your PH levels.

If the tank is empty you can try bleach, none of the products in the market will clean those stains, buy if the tank has water I don't know what to use..☺
