i have to pretend that i've been asked by the prime minister's office in ottawa to write an ad for carreers section of my newspaper. the position that needs to be filled is that of the governer general of canada. my ad should include at the minmum: qualifications required for the position(a list of traits a person should have) Experience required for the position(list of past experiences that would make a candidate suitable) Outline of duties(a list of the kinds of things a governer general is expected to do) Any ideas?

Help Wanted: Governor General
Educational experience: Qualified candidate should be able to read, write and speak the local language fluently. The successful candidate should also be able to express him/herself precisely and any given moment with or without "speech writers". The successful candidate will also be able to express him/herself well enough that translators can relate the content of their statements to foreign dignitaries.
Minimum qualifications and experience: The successful candidate should have demonstrated experience leading multiple groups of people unwilling to cooperate with each other or to work together; the candidate should have the ability to delegate authority when appropriate, and the candidate should be able and willing to carry out any lesser job functions in the interest of completing assigned tasks. The successful candidate will be honest, trustworthy and up-standing. Failure to disclose any and all instances where the candidate was less than forthcoming in his/her actions will result in their immediate dismissal and prosecution to the fullest measure of the law. If you cannot meet all of these qualifications, you need not apply.

Maybe that is something you should ask your boss. Work with him/her on it and when you are finish he/she will more than likely love your work. Trying to read your boss' mind is a no-no and you will probably fail in the end.
