NO! However, it may SOMETIMES seem that way because everyone searches for an identitiy of their own. Think about high school, you have the jocks, the attractive popular crowd, the brainy people, the band members, the stoners...etc. I think that it's very often that people who may not be quite as attractive compensate by displaying and playing off of their intelligence to gain an identity.
Often you'll be quite suprised at the ditsy cheerleader types or meat head football players who score quite high on their ACTs and SATs, and what happens...everyone's suprised. Just a misconception that I blame on the pursuit of fitting in somewhere....

Oh yes, I used to be so ugly, but my IQ was above genius, then I had plastic surgery and now I am beautiful but I cannot think worth a darn.
Come on, truly ugly people, particularly ugly women are treated with disdain and indifference. Men still have way too much power in hiring, school admittance, etc. and they LIKE pretty women...pretty young women.
Its a crappy question and a crappy way to judge people when you should not be so arrogant as to judge anyone to begin with.

People should be compared on a case by case basis.
I for one have met many people smarter AND more handsome than myself ( not to mention kinder and wealthier.)
The other side of the coin is, however, I find most people ugly, stupid, and mean. I am always amazed when I see them walking around with children. Like animals. Nothing more than animals, really, I can't see it any other way.

Of course not, some of us are pretty and smart, however you have to consider that ugly people most of the time have so many disadvantages in life and being smart is a way to survive.

There is an old proverb: "You cannot tell a book by its cover." Hence, external appearance, despite whatever it may be, ugly or beautiful, has utterly no revelation of, or bearing on, the individual within, their persona, skills, I. Q., morals, or characteristics. Incidentally, the Valid Victorian of my high school graduating class was "drop dead gorgeous".

There is no real answer that doesn't border on stereotyping. In one way, they are less pressured to be intelligent but those who want to be taken seriously must work harder to overcome prejudice.

Not at all. In my opinion, beautiful people might even be more intelligent than ugly people might because they have more confidence in themselves. Also, pretty people are more widely accepted and they have more opportunities in society.
