I haven't personally but my mom told me that when she was pregnant with me she went and tried to get a part-time job working at the local library and they interviewed her and told her she was perfect for the job and they would love to hire her but they'd been told by the boss that they had to hire an African American. I think also opportunities for ALL kids scholarship/admissions wise can be limited these days with people bent on meeting racial requirements instead of who deserves them. I think colleges/bosses/etc should have blindfolds on when it comes to your skin color no matter what color you are.

I believe that depends on the person. By the way you expressed your point of view about Mexicans in your other question I can understand why your Mexican supervisor treats you the way he does. I am Mexican and I've had the opportunity to have bosses from different races; Americans, Mexicans, Indians, African Americans, and I can honestly tell you that they've all treated me fine and without discrimination. But of course, I've always been a hard worker and I always perform above and beyond my expectation as an employee. I always treat people with respect regardless of their race or skin color. Maybe you're just mad because he's Hispanic and he's your supervision and he gets your negative vibes. I guess in life what goes around comes around.

There is no such thing as reverse discrimination, its called racism, and by implying this it does not make whites/ blacks more better than the other one.
I have experienced the same but white people discriminating against me and I didn't get the promotion because I'm Indian, even though I'm highly qualified and excellent at the job I did. I had the worst jobs the hardest things to do and I never ever got a thank you or bonuses like the other staff.
my dad is also going through this and it make me very sad I hate him getting the dirtiest nastiest jobs while all the white folk stand around and drink coffee, what because we need to survive and provide for our families that's why we stay in these environments, and let people get away with such despicable behavior.
but everyone must remember what goes around comes around....

Not at work, but...
My ex applied to law school, and was denied access to the program to be included because two minorities took priority over him (white male). He entrance examination was higher than theirs. The two minorities that were accepted into the law program were one black male and one white female. If my ex would have been accepted, then his employer would have paid for his law education, which would have saved us multiple dollars and a separation of residences to save expenses, which probably helped bring about an eventual divorce.

No such thing as " reverse discrimination" ! That term is racist itself. It assumes only whites are mainly racist. Not true. A racist is a racist. And yes, what you say happens all the time. If you think you were fired because of your race, file a complaint.
