I am English, and therefore do not usually celebrate Thanksgiving, but the best Thanksgiving I have ever experienced was last year. I was living in France, and hadn't seen any family or friends for 3 months, I had made a good group of international (including some Americans... but also Brazilians, French, Spanish, Germans, Austrians, Canadians, Scottish....) and we all sat down and had a thanksgiving together. It was not the traditional food, as we all brought a dish from our home countries, but we did all say thank you for something. Most of us were just thankful for each other, for friends in a situation that was not easy for any of us. And without wanting to sound soppy, it was a truly beautiful evening.

My best Thanksgiving is probably the one when all my family came over. I just took my food and isolated myself in my room to watch SmackDown! *siiighs* Good times.... (sorta makes you wonder why I even care that my cousins came over, huh?) Otherwise, it's the one where we made fried turkey... *drools*...
My least favorite is probably THIS one because we're not going to have one... boo. Er, well, we might go to Boston's Market or some other place to eat, but that's about it. The worst Thanksgiving prior to THIS one is the one where my sister bought me a meal from Boston's Market. lol

the best one was when my wife was pregnant...our house was about 3/4 of the way thru the building process...my mom made homemade pizza, and we sat in folding chairs in what was to be the living room...while we were there the telephone company guy had finished connecting the lines to the main line-we didnt even know anyone was working that day...the phone rang and we all jumped...
the worst? the thanksgivings i spent in army mess halls...the food was okay, but it just wasn't 'home'...

My favorite was when my whole family got together in a cabin near Gatlinburg, and stayed for a couple days, went into town, had fires in the fireplace, and just had a great time. (We're from Florida, so the colder weather was great.)
The worst was when I had moved one year, and it was just my husband and me. I cried all day, so I'm sure his day was miserable because of me, but he never complained.
