Aren't women supposed to buy their own jewlery. Do they wear the jewlery when other people give it to them? (excuse me, women, if you dislike me for saying they)

We do buy jewelry. And we love to receive it as a gift. I wear gift jewelry if I like the piece, and even if I don't like the piece, but I like the giver (to show my appreciation)

Well.. they aren't SUPPOSED to buy their own jewelry, but they might because they feel they need to.. ACESSORIZE! And when they do buy jewelry, they MIGHT wear it, but most likely they'll just buy it and lose it somewhere in their house.

-women these days.. T__T-

They might have a greater chance in wearing jewelry someone else bought them because it means something to them, since it's a gift. And besides, it's really nice when someone buys a girl something pretty. But look out for those girls that only want you for your money.. They're terrible. >__<

For me, I don't go around wasting my money on things I don't really need, but if someone special buys me something, I'd wear it. Unless it was really expensive.. then I'd keep it safe somewhere. : D

I hope.. that helps in anyway. This is my first time using this.

Personally, I don't like to wear jewelry. I even stopped wearing a watch. People know I don't like it and they don't buy it. My Dad did buy me a necklace with my birthstone in it over a year ago. I decided to put it on this month finally. I have had it in the box for over a year. It is an opal, my favourite, I just don't like to wear jewelry.

Depends upon the woman. My sister loves getting jewelry from her husband. I, on the other hand, will take electronics over jewelry any day. Electronics are much more fun and practical.

i prefer to have my jewels given to me as gifts. people always comment on jewelry and it reminds you of the time the gift was given to you every time you get a compliment. plus, jewelry is valuable. if a man gives it as a gift then you feel like he thinks you are valuable to him. you're not going to give something beautiful and expensive to someone you don't see yourself with in the future, right? with that being said, i think that we all also buy specific pieces to match specific outfits and we buy pieces that are irresistible.

I have started to collect jewelery for myself. Silver rings with gemstones, more watches and I have two silver chains with pendants. I have always bought jewelery for gf's nieces, mother etc. I still do

The only jewellery which has to be given to a woman is a wedding ring and this can differ across cultures.
