Yes, you can. The world is a sum total of all of our energy. By feeling or thinking negavity, we add to the "bad" things in this world. By thinking positive loving thoughts and doing good deeds, we are adding and contributing to the betterment of the world. So you can and it starts with you.
You have the power!

There is not a thing you can do. I wish there was. So many times I wish we could turn the clock back to when man depended on Mother Earth and lived off the land. The world was so much cleaner then. Due to "Progress" we live in this unhealthy pollution. As for violence; It has been here since the day Cain and Abel had their differences, which ended in murder. I am so sorry to say dear friend, You can't change the world.

HI, well you can't heal the world by yourself but you can touch hearts that need help, but don't ever close your eyes to reality, because you can always make a difference even if it small, and you imprint others to do the same. We are models to the children that one day may follow your steps, and why not teach them that when you do things for others without expecting something in return and that something good came out of it that the wonderful feeling left behind should be thanks enough. This doesn't mean that bad around us will go away, but knowing you are trying to make a change is very valuable.

the only thing you can do is try not to add to it yourself. Otherwise, as individuals we are not so powerful to change the big picture.
Perhaps you could pursue some sort of role in society that would put you in a position of respect, from which your opinions and views could be shared and hopefully spread.
A role model so to say. Although you may not be able to change the world, maybe you can help more people become aware that the world needs changing, and that their actions are a small start.
good luck.

You may not be able to stop the entire world from going bad but you can work hard at taking care of your part of the world. Get involved in community organizations that are important to you. By working with others to make a difference, you can start making a difference in people's lives. I am an avid believe in the pay it forward theory - that if you do good to someone, hopefully they will be able to use that gift to pay it forward somehow. And then it continues on and on to affect society. Again, you may not be able to save everyone but you can do something.

there was a wise man who once said you can do three things about anything if you liken it to a moving train. One: you can stand in front of the train, make your statement and become a martyr, two: you can run along side of the train and throw your rocks of protest and anger at the train as it passes by and three: you can get on the train, work your way up to chief engineer and make a different all along the journey.
get on the train... determine what area you think you can do the most good in... find out why it is going bad ...work toward making people aware of what is happening that is bad and then push as hard as hell to get them to listen to you about how to change what needs to be changes,,, start by education and persuade people especially by example... be the person you want them to emulate. Your creed should be... failure is not an option.

In my book, I believe we're here to learn lessons & enlighten/evolve our spirit/soul/essence/being (whatever one calls the energy force that gives life to us all).
We all have specific lessons to work on & learn, but sometimes the tests we encounter can be more than we believe we can bear or tolerate, such as the seemingly growing "evil" in this world. Part of our learning is how we percieve the world in general. Yes it is hard to be positive day in & day out, but remember... if you give out negative thoughts, you send out negitive vibrations that ripple around the world, & eventually come back to you, (what you sew, so shall you reap), if you give out positive thoughts, you affect the psychy of the world & ultimately your own destiny. This doesn't mean only you have the power to alter the world in anyway, it means you have a part to play by passing on your pure caring thoughts to a few, who in turn will do the same & affect others & it grows & grows. Eg: "Paying it Forward"... you smile to a stranger, who's reflex is to smile back, that act causes endorfines to kick in this persons brain, giving them a sudden rush of good feelings, which can cause this person to do something fun/nice for themselves or others.
What I'm saying is you can't change the world all at once, but trying to follow your path of learning, which challenges you to live a positive life no matter what it throws at you, can alter all life in general & eventually alters the negative to the positive. Those who try to change the world in a positive manner in whatever small way, reap the rewards of internal/eternal growth.
Peace, Love, & Live long & prosper!!!

You, personally, cannot. Unless you become world dictator (and even then you cannot stop individuals from doing something wrong if they really want to, aside from killing them). But, in your own sphere of influence--your family and friends, you can be a "force for good" if you make the effort regularly. It's not easy since we constantly have to fight against the world's influence and our own imperfection. If you're older--like me--it shouldn't be as hard, since peer pressure is not as big a deal in your life as it is to teenagers. (If you're a teenager--sorry.) What was the title of that movie a little while ago? "Pay It Forward," I think. Do that.

I'm sorry man. The only way that would work is if we all worked together, but everyone seems to be enemies nowadays. I am so feeling the same way, but I just can't see this happening.
