whoever wrote those sentence should be shot.
first, developed an iron repression probably means she has developed a way to subdue. But "her exceptions to willy's behavior" doesnt make much sense. maybe it means she causes changes in willy's behavior.
so linda has developed a way to subdue the changes she causes to willy's behavior.

weird way to write a sentence... and i think the person didn't intend to use the word "exceptions" in "exceptions to Willy's behavior" because it simply doesn't make sense...

here's the dictionary meaning: Linda has developed an "iron-hard, strong, rigid, unyielding" "repression--rejection of painful or disagreeable ideas, memories, feelings, or impulses" of her "exceptions-exclusions, objections, criticisms" to Willy's behavior.

in simpler words, Linda has developed an unyielding rejection of disagreeable ideas of her objections to Willy's behavior.
