hey...i need help with

"the ultimate measure of a man is not where he st ands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

It has to do with the book To kill a Mockingbird...i just need help with additional quotes ..thnx=)

it pretty much means that a man's (or woman's) ultimate worth is how he handles him(her)self in hardships, not how he/she is in good times

It's easy to have opinions and beliefs when times are good. It's how you act when things are tough that matters. For example, it is easy to say you support Jews in this day and age. But would you still have said it and acted on it, if you lived in Germany during WWII and risked being killed by Nazis? It says more about you as a person to stand up for your opinions in the face of great personal risk.

i'm being really basic here but, a person can really tell what kind of a person someone is when challenge and controversy come his/her way. like...how that person deals with those challenges, etc.
