well if you just got this hamster you need to spend some time with it so that it becomes accustomed to you, hamsters will bite untill you tame them... dont try and hold it just yet...pet it often, approach it slowky so it doesnt get startled...within a week you should be able to pick him up...but never place your fingers directly up to its mouth it may think its food...it terms if feeding it you dont have to touch it to feed it just fill his bowl with food...or if you just cant get ur hands in the cage if fear of it biting try givng it a bigger piece of food like a carrot which he should garb from you without being able to bit you...

is there anyway your hamster could be pregnant? my daughter just got a pet rat and the book said rats can nibble your finger when eating but if they bite they could be pregnant take your hamster to the vet to be on them safe side

Get the cubes and just drop it in the cage.
You should start just petting it a bunch, then work your way up to picking it up for a little bit.

Let him eat by himself, until he gets used to u. Try to be very gentle to him...maybe he bites, because u r bothering him too much.
Or, maybe it's a female and needs company of a male. U know, it's better to have a male if it's going to be alone...

This might be because you touch it where it has a bruise, take it to the vet just in case

It decided that the veggie poo your feeding him is nooo good so he decided to be a carnivore..grrr
