shoudln't more coaches be like him?

i think he's the coach i would want to play for, for whatever team he is coaching.

the guy tries onside kicks to catch them off guard, he had that trick punt vs the patriots

and he did that play on 4th down where instead of sending pennington with a bad shoulder, he had brad smith take the snap

now i liek the patriots, and if anyone should suceed bill belichick, i think it should be eric magini

he learned from the best, and i think he is the best coach to play for

what are you opinions?

I am going to agree with you, but to resurrect a team like the Jets i think you have to coach like that. I love to play for him or Andy Reid and maybe even mike Shanahan.

I think Eric Mangini is a one of a kind coach. So hopefully, there won't be other coaches like him. He makes plays that no other coach would think of playing. Sure, from what I've seen he didn't make all the best decisions in the game vs. Chicago. But he's still a rookie coach. And the youngest one too.

I highly doubt Mangini will succeed Belichick, seeing as how well he is doing for the Jets. I know I'm gonna love the Mangini era. I hope he leads the Jets to the playoffs this season, but even if he doesn't, the future looks bright for the Jets.

Mangini isn't the first coach to do the surprise onside kick. Jimmy Johnson did it while he was coaching the Cowboys.

Coaches of bad teams rely more on those trick plays than the coaches with good teams. They are more willing to gamble because they have less to lose.

being a jets fan for over 30+ yrs i have seen to good the bad and the ugly when it come to ny jet football. eric magini as of now is doing a good job with this young team. no body predicted them to win at least 3 games. right now were they stand (5 &5) this is showing that mangini knows how to coach and yes he will improve and down the road 3 to 4yrs (maybe sooner) this team will be spoken as being one of the best in the league. as of now its all a leaning in progress for whats to come. I'm pround to say that the jets will be a one a team to fear in the AFC in the yrs to come... J E T S jets jets jets!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like him as a coach. I look forward to many successful seasons at the helm. It will be better once he gets more of his players on the roster.

He was a good student of Belichick and has good football sense. He will need to lose some weight to drop the "Dough Boy" moniker....
