I'm in a big argument with a friend of mine, and he thinks that there are no people who do not have land line, just cell phones. I myself would like to get rid of my land line and just have a cell. Is there anyone, in Canada, the US or anywhere who knows someone like this?????

Both my husband and I dropped our land line once we finally got rid of our dial up internet. We just use our cell phones now. There are pluses and minuses to this though.
We don't have our expensive land line bill anymore but sometimes i do not have great reception in my house especially when calling long distance and I always need to know where my cell phone is. So yes people do ditch land lines I know quite a few.

I've always had a land line and saw I had no use for it really except for the use of the intercom, but now I have a land line and 2 cell phones and I pay over 500 on cells and 380 on regular phone line, I never used it before though for a long time, only cells, however if you lose track of your minutes even if you have a lot, your bill will be outrageous.

(it's crazy) of course you need it, especially for your High speed Internet and fax. Tell your friend he is not thinking logically.

People can't always hear you on the cell, or signal is weak. You need a land line. Some people like myself do. I do a lot of business out of my home on the phone, not on purpose, but a lot of calls.

I only have my cell phone - and have been like this for several years. Quite happy - and one less bill for me to pay.

I know a few people in the U.K. who don't have land lines, but they live in rented property.
