I've read that it's possible to be pregnant even though you have your period. Is that true? My first day was a little heavy, but the other two days have been very light to barely anything. Should I worry? My period has been consistent the past three months.

When the embryo implants in the uterus it can cause bleeding, but it would be very light. I don't think that it would happen for several days. If you are still worried you should take a pregnancy test.

It is impossible to be pregnant and have your period. The reason you have your period is because you are not pregnant. Your uterus builds up the functional layer so when the egg comes it can be implanted, nourished, and given every opportunity to survive. If an egg is not implanted, then your body will shed the functional layer of the uterus and then begin to build it up again. This is why you have a period in the first place; so when you do get pregnant you have a healthy, vibrant functional layer to help the baby survive. So if you are pregnant and have your period then you have just shed the layer that the egg grows in and therefore the egg is now in the toilet and not inside of you. That is why you may be pregnant when you miss your period.

Again, it is impossible to have your period and be pregnant at the same time.

Yes my friend that is actually true. In some cases women can be pregnant and still be getting their periods for a couple months. I say that if you are worried go and buy a preganncy test and test yourself because even ifyou are getting your period, a hormone that is present in gestating womens bodies will show up. If you still are not sure, then go to the doctor and have blood drawn and they perform an even more accurate test to see if you are pregnant.

Hi Shy, Some women have their peroid when pregnant, but i don't think it's a heavy flow. You may be stressing about if you are pregnant or not. This would make you have irregular periods. How long has to been since you had sex??? Are your breast sort by touch??? I would wait a month or so, and then have a pregnance test done.

How old are you? If you are a teenager, it is normal for you to have inconsistant periods. However, if you had unprotected sex, you might want to get a pregnancy test, as well as getting tested for STD's.

You can get pregnant anytime during your menstrual cycle. It is a common myth that you can't get pregnant while on your period. The truth is, you can.
