I love the haters... Now because FSU and Miami suck, which honestly means absolutely nothing to the ranking perspective anyways this year...its all of a sudden a "down year"?

As good as the turf they installed? They tried replacing it twice. Blame it on the rain (as MillVanilli would say) Ohio State had to play on the same field as Michigan. If anything it hurt Ginn and Gonzales speed and cause that bad snap from Datish.

I know I know... going wire to wire number 1 all season and taking everyones best shot, dealing with the pressure, it can't possibly be that they are any good right? Just lucky.

Quit hating and just respect the fact that they are a great football team.

Overrated? These posters get dumber by the day. OSU is high quality. They have 2 backs (Junior, Antonio Pittman) and (True Freshman, Chris Wells -who ran that 52 yard run vs Michigan) that can bust open anytime. Now take Anthony Gonzalez who is just as fast as Ted Ginn-but a freaking Tight End who is sure handed. So you cover Tedddy Ginn and Gonzalez with your best DBacks...then you have Brian Hartline and BRian RObiskie who can burn you at any second. Look at TRoy Smith's pass distribution. He finds the open guy-even under pressure. Now look at the defense-OSU always is loaded with stud linebackers. You have a sophomore (Laurenautis...son of former WWE wrestler Animal) who is one of the best 4 linebackers in the country and is up for the Butkus award. The defense plays with heart...young guys playing with determination and backed up by the most explosive offensive threat in college football. Ask Michigan's defense how good OSU is...I would expect a similar response. And as far as the above USC comparison---everyone but the people in California knew that Texas was the better team 2 months before those teams played. IF USC still has nightmares of Vince Young--Troy Smith will not make life a bit easier this year on USC-should they get there.

I flew up from FL to see the game, and I must say that they delivered. Certainly, they are the best OSU team in recent memory. They decidedly have more talent than the team that won the national championship in 2003. The fans were great also. My own two cents...Michigan is the true number 2, but they had their chance. Someone else needs a chance to face the Buckeyes. I don't believe that a team (Michigan) who did not win their conference should have a chance to play for the national championship.

the question is not how good is Ohio State, but rather, How GREAT Ohio State is.

they have been #1 since they crushed Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl, only team to have beaten number 2 teams twice, let alone in the same season (texas, Iowa) lets see what else, oh Hiesman "troy"phy, gained 503 yards on michigan.

not only is this our year, but look out for a repeat, you heard it here first folks.

Unquestionably the class of the 2006 crop, but could be had. USC was "this much" better last year, but made too many stupid mistakes and let Texas beat them. If Reggie Bush didn't "hotdog" on two plays, that's 14 points that Texas could not have made up. As for a repeat, don't be sure they get past the SC/Notre Dame or Fla/Ark winner - on paper it's done.
