Okay I have clonedvd and anydvd for my back up of movies, it always works no decoder problems or anything but there are a few dvds that will not even work on my pc. its like the dvd drive does not even know they are there but then i can put a different on in and it works fine! any ideas on what the problem is and how to fix it? is my dvd drive going bad? i have only had this pc for year or so and its a compaq!

DVD's are copy protected any become smarter and smarter in doing so, you might need to upgrade you DVD drive drivers from the manufacturer's website, download and install them.

Your drive is fine. Its the copy protection on the DVD itself. If you look at the DVD case, you will read somewhere on it where it is not compatible with PC's.
