in high school sports, football, basketball usually, when your team does really good, they go to sectionals, regionals, but which one of those are first and how does that order go, i know theres like semi state but i dont know how the list goes if your team keeps winning.

The levels and terms vary by state. Try going to the website of your state's governing body, which is probably called something like Statename School Activities Association. If you can find a page containing this year's schedule, or last year's results, it should tell you the name of each level in the process.

in Massachusetts, you start out with district play. This is broken down into preliminary, quarters, semis, then finals
If you win these, you move on to states, which consist of semi finals and finals

Well, in CA, in basketball, if you make it to the CIF playoffs, you play in your Division. Once you win the division you go to State tournament.

I live in Vermont and there are not as many levels but i think it goes:
Divisional Playoffs
Sectional Playoffs
Regional Playoffs
State Playoffs

It is district, regionals, semifinals, and then finals - at least here in Virginia.
