i would feel the same way. and believe you me, i would tell my friend to look for a different one cause i really don't want us to have the same kind of this particular item. i know it is selfish and yeah, i know friends are more important than material stuff, but still - sometimes we do want to be original, don't we?! i mean there are many items i like and would like my friends to have too. but sometimes, there are just some things we want to be different with. and eventhough i know that i could never be the only one that has it in the world and that there's bound to be somebody else that has it too, i sure don't want that somebody to be someone i'm with a lot of times.

1. you are being a snob
2. you had a chance to say what you thought about her getting the same phone as you, but you didn't. So if you have a problem with it you should have said it than, because obviously she respects your feelings, IE: she didn't have to ask you she could have just gone out and got it instead.
3. chances are your not the the only kid out of 'like' 4000 to have that one phone. odds are someone else has it also. but they are not as much as a snob about it.

It's a phone. You use it to call people, just like the rest of the people on the planet. Who cares if it is an "original". I mean, seriously, who really cares if someone has a phone like yours? And because you asked, yes, you are being very, very stuck up over this very simple matter. Get over it.

The way i see it is she asked you and that was your opportunity to tell her no i don't want you to get the same one. If you really don't want her to have the same phone then tell her in a nice way. Or let her get the same one and you both can have the coolest phones in school. Sooner or later I bet more girls at your school with have your phone if it is really that cute. If you and your friend have them first you can be like hey I started that trend.

There's so many things that can go wrong that are so much worse than this. Try to relax. Find a more meaningful way to feel unique. Everybody is an individual. Everybody is different. We are all the same about being different.

There is no originality when you are in middle/high school. Everyone looks to someone else for what they wear, buy etc. I'm sure you have bought clothes or music based on what others had or like. Just let it go.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to be original. No your not stuck up because you want to have your own style.
Look on the bright side your starting a trend and you were the first...

Tell her your feelings about the phone and ask her to pick another wicked cute color.

My friend bought a shirt after she had seen me wearing it and that made me mad. Tell her that it would be odd and unoriginal if you had the same phone and tell her to get something close but not the same.
