I'm going to work in a mall, so the mall has its own closing time.
they close and open at different times, such as:

mon - fri: 8am - 9pm
sat: 9am - 7pm
sun 11am - 6pm.

So if the mall opens at 11am, but im available at 8am, can I put 8 am throughout the whole application? or just the time it opens at?
same with the ending times. if im available till 11pm, but it closes at 9, can I put 11? or just 9pm?

btw, it tells me to put TIME... (so i can't really put open or close)

open to close is still acceptable that shows you are flexible. You will prob be expected to work different shifts, like open the store, close the store, or work a middle of the day shift. IF you have an issue with set schedule, then that has to be noted.

Your shift will start before the mall opens, b/c the store has to have staff ready to open the doors and work after closing time to clean up, refold items etc. So, if you are flexible put down 7am to 10 pm, if you are still in school, then make sure note that as well.

If you are working in a mall retail you can put the exact times you are available, even if it does not correspond with open till close. Often, especially during the holidays, the manager will need staff to stock and prep the store. They will also need you to close up.

If you're available at 8, it won't hurt to put down 8. The HR manager might have a duty for you before it opens. You and the HR manager can always clarify things during the interview.
