I think life is like a river - we just take the natural path. Free will is just what are genes and our experiences "decide" together. There's no "x" factor.

Free will exists, but only to the person exercising it.

You have quite a few very deep thoughts on topics that are difficult at best. I like that, but it doesn't mean I can do an answer justice.

At times, I do believe in the X-factor of free will & at others I think it is nothing but an illusion. Today I'm of the bent that free will does exist as you've said....only to the person exercising it. Tomorrow I may change my mind.

I've noticed that most people "follow the path of least resistance"--they don't agressively make choices--waiting for "life" to make them. My observation is that if YOU don't make decisions in your life--somebody else will

a conscience. if you did not have one then free will would be something practiced willy nilly (no pun) LOL it's that voice inside that tells you the right thing to do.
