Everyone is different, everyone has different morals and we just have to accept that not everyone is going to believe the same things as you are. An example: Adolph Hitler actually believed that the Jews were bad and actually believed that they deserved what they got and that he was better then they were. He thought everybody else was wrong when they said that what he was doing was bad, and unmoral. He didn't kill 6 million people because he was in a bad mood or his genetics were messed up or anything, he actually thought he was doing the right thing.
Sometimes it's all about how you are looking at a situation. Maybe you see someone steal something from the store and you think they are a bad person and they are doing something immoral, but maybe you don't know the whole story. Maybe they just got fired and have to pay their morgage and don't have any money for food. Maybe they don't really have another option. No, their situation does not justify what they did, but sometimes it shines a little light on the situation. Other times, it may just be that some people were raised to be bad people and not to care about the well-being of others. Maybe their parents abused them and they were always hungry and they were on drugs and their childhood was horriable. It's sometimes just how people have been taught to survive.
In rare cases, there is something wrong with a person's genes that makes them do bad things, there are some people who do not have a concious that tells them right from wrong or they are just crazy.
However, it is our job, those who do not cheat and lie and steal, to not let the "bad" people ruin our lives and cloud up all the good things that are constantly happening all around us, or to make us any less happy about our lives. Unless it is very important or directly affecting you, do not worry about what other people are doing; it is not your job to stop them or consul them. "live and let live". Live your own life and let others do the same.

Various reasons - cruel people having emotional problems, immaturity, stupidity, possibly full fledged sociopathy. But the accepted normal values of any particular culture in any given time period also plays a role in how we treat each other. Not too long ago it was acceptable in enslave other human beings, and most people thought that was OK. I could go on and on, listing the Holocaust and all the other atrocities mankind had inflicted on mankind. It makes me believe the human animal, as a whole, is predispositioned to be cruel. But I also feel if considering the whole history of mankind, mankind (as a whole) is at least attempting to be more humane. However, effort put forth in being kind to others differs widely at every single level.
I probably didn't answer your question very well, but what I'm getting at is its human nature to be cruel, but another part of human nature is being aware of our shortcomings. We (OK maybe not everyone) have the desire to rise above our ancient cruel inner fabric buried within us - and do no harm.

They get the evil seed inside them watered regularly .. this evil seed is in every human, but someone feeds it and waits to germinate, and someone kills it ..
Kind-hearted people have appreciation of life, souls and simply everything inside and outside their surrounding environment .. heartless ones have a psychological conviction that being cruel or unkind is a form of power and strength .. they don't know that being this way it weakness itself ..
Just have a bright look, maintain your kindness, make your best to advice the cruel-hearted, and stay away from evil :)

Seriously Sam D. - did you know we can read all your other questions and answers? Your vitriole against Mexican immigrants belies your "I'd never hurt anyone" claim. You should take the advice you've been given and get out of your house, off your computer and go volunteer somewhere for other people. You might meet people, even, god forbid, a Mexican, and find that you like them.

I believe it is the lack of love and compassion in their hearts. They aren't happy with their self and they lash out at others because they are miserable inside. People who have been hurt turn around and hurt others. I also believe that they don't have the true love of Christ. Because Christ is loving, patient, kind, compassionate, never rude.

A sociopath has no conscious, they do not care who they hurt. A good example of one is Scott Peterson. Not every sociopath is a cold-blooded killer or goes to jail. They can learn how to live in society, some even prosper because of their lack of conscious, they can tell people just exactly what they want to hear and it not bother them. In other words they are very good manipulators.

It will be difficult to please everyone... some people will feel hurt by something that you have said or done. When you judge others... it is from what you down deep know about yourself that you judge by. As for all the crap in the world... where else can we bring Love where Love seems not to be.

thats a good question. i feel that way too sometimes. i think that theres a part in all humans that feel the need to satisfy their own wants and desires--whatever makes themselves feel good. Some people have learned to put this behind them in consideration of others. Others haven't yet, and maybe they never will.
