when a white person using the n word it is offessive to blacks and when they use it it is not why is that

First of all, not all black people think that it is ever okay to use the 'n' word, no matter what race use it. It's offensive when some blacks use it too.
Secondly, for some blacks to embrace a word of the past that was used to put down a race and change it up and make it as if it's cool to say is straight up wrong (ex. That's my n**** or what’s up my n****?).
Lastly, when a derogatory word is used, its intent is to put others down, which is offensive and disrespectful and it’s never okay to use.

~ To the poster who stated that 'boy' was the only thing that was used to put down blacks is so wrong. Being called a 'n****' was an insult as well. Check all of the history, not some.

i don't get this either, mostly because they see it as a put down that they where once referred to back in the slave days to insult them and in actuality n***er was not what they used to insult them. Boy was, so why not take offense to what they should instead of complaining about something that they themselves preferred to be called by white people instead of BOY. N*gger was never an insult to them Boy was. So instead of b*tching about the N word why not complain about Boy. When that was the real raciest term used back then.
Note i am not raciest i am just wondering why this is. i like the poster just does not understand

but they (whites) say it to make blacks feel bad and blacks use it to adress a friend, or an all out pal
also, when they say chug, it hurts my feelings ciz im native american.=(
