1 sq yd = 9 sq ft
so set up a proportion
1/24 = 9/x
Solve for X
X = 24(9) /1
X = 216/1
X=216 sq ft

A square yard is 3 ft x 3 ft = 9 ft²

24 yd² * 9 ft²/yd² = 216 ft²
