What does mom say about all this? Is she behind the step dad stiffing her child? If what you say is on the up and up your mom should have no problem lifting the 200 to make everything all square.

i'm a stay at abode mom and my husband works out of the abode. In my e book at the same time as it comes marriage what's his is mine, and what's mine is his (till it contains the perfect carton of chocolate soy milk, because uh, that is mine!) we've a checking, mark downs, and money market account, we both have our personal ATM playing cards, yet I carry all the money an excellent type of the time, I manage all the money, pay the expenditures... I under no circumstances experience like i'm stealing from him in any respect. in certain situations i am going to say something like "have you ever considered ten funds round? and he will reply "oh I took that, i needed xyz" Or if that's any incorrect way round...that's no longer an situation... Even in the previous we were married, I managed each of the funds. I helped him word for jobs, write resumes. We both experience the money he makes is both earned. i have grown up seeing my dad say to my mom "Why did you purchase that handbag??'" and her replying "properly i purchased it with MY money!" I continually idea uhh....are not you men married?? i do not comprehend, i wager that's basically me! the straightforward answer on your question is not any :)

Thats wrong for starters, in most cases a verbal contract is legally binding if you have a witness.
Personally I would just leave it but tell him in no uncertain terms that you will never work for him again and also that you will inform all oif the other tradespeople you know that he renaiged on a payment to you. Tell your mother as well.

Hate to tell you this but you can't sue someone if you have committed an illegal act....next time...do things legally....don't lend anyone a large sum of money without a contract.....good luck to you and hope you learned a lesson....not a good lesson to have to learn but hopefully, no one will take advantage of your good nature again....

Set him and your mom down and have that talk, if that does not get what you want then just never do anything for the bum again.

you can't unless of course there is written records of it, but then it wouldn't be under the table.
