I was gasing up my car and it overflowed and soaked me and my favorite sweater :(

Having them drycleaned will remove all the gas from your cloths.

If your sweater is washable in the washer. Mix vinegar about a half a cup in the water and let it soak in. After washing it once in that solution, wash it again in regular soap and during the rinse cycle add your favorite fabric softener that smells good and everything should come out smelling like roses.

If your sweater is machine washable, wash it with your regular detergent and add a cup of white vinegar. It should come out smelling clean. Vinegar is a wonderful odor-eliminator.
