I've been best friend with this girl since i was 7, everybody knows we're best friends and she used to be the best person on earth! But lately (shes 16) i cant stand her!!! All she ever wants to do is complain about her life (which i know to be better than mine, her parents arent divorced, shes twice as rich, guys love her, etc) shes so self-centered!!!! what should I do? move on? get her to start caring about others every now and then? shut her up?????

also, last yr i was friends with some "popular" kids, and in the end it turned into a gossipping, hurtful mess. well, now shes friends with them this yr! I talked to a girl she hates and she got so mad at me, but she wont listen when i say that those jerks shes being friends with are jerks!!! so she can be friends with who she wants and I cant?? UGH!!!

Sometimes friends grow apart, and I would imagine this could be what is going on here. You can try talking to her, but it sounds like you might be growing apart, and it's time for both of you to befriend others. Don't stress about it. I've grown apart from a lot of my high school friends. It happens.

You'll learn in life as you get older that some friends have an expiration date. People change and you can't do anything about it but take it or leave it.

The way I see it is if someone is bringing you down rather than uplifting you. It might be time to cut them out of your life. Life's too short to spend with half *** friends

Sounds like as you guys have grown up and shes lacking in the maturity department... maybe if you were to start voicing your problems... maybe it will jolt her out of her private pitty party... don't give up on the friendship... there may be times when you're not getting along... that's to be expected... friendship is like a marriage... there's highs and lows... ignore as much as you can... and at some point when the time is right maybe try and talk to her... she may not be receptive but try... good luck!!

To be honest you 2 sounds like your growing apart you seem to be a much nicer person than she is so unfortunately my advice would be to leave her alone for a while an see if she's really the type of person you want to be friends with .

You know you won't be able to change her. You just have to accept her as she is and when she's too bad get away from her for a while. Make sure you don't cut yourself off from other friends. Good luck.

according to hazard you may step returned and picture over your previous movements of the day. Is there something which you do to make him think of this type? Ask your buddy for his reasoning. this might help you provide up in spite of habit this is inflicting him (and maximum in all probability human beings, too) that evaluate you "self-based".

since she keeps treating you with a double standard, i think you should treat her the way she treats you.
complain about YOUR life 24/7-- see how she likes that! don't be a backstabber tho and intentionally be friends with kids she doesn't like.. but you can try that i suppose..
good luck!

My heart bleeds for you girl. Please understand that she uses and abuses. Tom Petty said it all in a song. 'You got lucky babe when I found you'. Listen to it over and over until you feel it. Too bad so sad to be her!

Tell her how you feel. If she still doesn't care, I think it might be time to move on.
