I would say:

"Throughout the course of human history including the invention of the wheel, discovery of electricity, and creation of the Internet, human beings have improved their understanding of science and technology."

Pretty close. Good job!!

...to electrcity, to the internet,...

You gave several good examples of science and technologies over the ages. VERY GOOD!!

Its nice to know that SOMEONE is listening to our teachers when they speak.

Ps. I was just reading some of the responses.
The first "Woman" who answered doesnt have a clue!!
"Our" refers to humans. However, she may be PARTIALLY correct. Try deleting the word "Our". I tried it and am not sure if it still makes sense.

It sounds a little off to me.

If you are a student, you may want to ask your teacher.
If you are not a student, ask someone YOU know who is an English Major.

PPS. That woman who gave that answer- Honey you REALLY ARE Blonde, huh??

Good luck.

Ok ONE more add on-

The person before me gave a close example as well. However, it still is not as good as your original sentence.

You CAN change it around to make two sentences instead of just one.

Sometimes in our attempts to make ourselves "Sound" intelligent, we make a compound sentence, which is what you have written, sound more complicated than it needs to be.

This could be the problem with the one you wrote.

Ok, I promise THIS is the LAST add-on:

Throughout history, from the invention of the wheel, to the discovery of electricity, to the creation of the internet, humans have improved their understanding of science and technology.

Hope that helps.

I had to actually write it to get it. WHEW!!

Thats my good deed for the day! LOL!

Just leave the 'our' out. Otherwise, fine.

I don't think so. "Our" needs to be "the" because you have not mentioned anything that could justify as "our".

"Our" needs to be "the" otherwise, it's ok......
