My period started sometime at the end of year in 2001 or 2002.
I started on the pill to regulate them in mid year last year then changed on to another pill after I got really sick in December last year, early this year I went on this new pill.
And I'm also taking fat terminators to help me with my weight loss.
Thats about it and my peroids are still not regular, but I'm thinking of going to the doctor cause firstly iv got small amount of blood then light then heavy again.
This is really ticking me off!!!!!

there is nothing wrong here because thats what has happened to me a couple of times, it lasted for about 2 weeks perhaps a little less like 12 days, and it is a long time and i got a little worried about it. But it did stop, and when it did i was soooo relieved. My mum had no idea what was going on either, and I really didn't want to go to the doctors. And you know what else happened to me that got me worried all over again, well i missed my period for 3 whole months!! can you believe it, and i still avoided seeing a doctor, but after those three months had gone by, I got my period again and it was all back to normal, I just think that my body was going through a phase, which has never happened since, so i'm relieved about that. Just wait a little while longer and all should be back to normal very soon, but if not then I suggest seeing a doctor. =)

Mine lasts for 5 days on the main. it would not run in my enjoyed ones. My mum and my sister each and each have/had extremely long heavy periods. My sister has continually had issues and it ought to circulate on for over 7 days, then now no longer come for a pair of months after. So i do no longer evaluate it extremely is suitable to inheritence. only success of the draw i assume.

For most women, periods usu last for between 3-7days. But, for some women,it can extend for as long as 10days but in which case, they should be consulting not only with their GYN, they should also see their GP cos of the risk of aneamia from prolonged bleeding
Hon, if u'v been bleeding for at least 10days now or 2weeks like u said, u should definitely see ur Dr whether or not u were on medication or not before so he can see u and review ur medication as well as examine u so, pls tell ur mom what is goin on!

All the previous answers have merit, but even I know that different women have different lengths of periods, however take
the advice of consulting a Dr instead of asking us.

depending on odor consistancy and color you need to see a doctor. a normal period can last from 3 to 7 days. definetly tell your mum, she'll ask why you waited so long if you wait to much longer
