I have been charting my BBT for quite some time now. I usually ovulate on day 18 with a 10 day luteal phase, 28 day cycle (very regular cycle). This month, however, I ovulated on day 15. Will I continue to have a 10 day luteal phase, or will I continue to have a 28 day cycle?
I'm wondering when I can take a test :

I think you will just have to wait and see. Ovulation and period times vary from time to time in all women. You may get your period 3 days early or you may have a luteal phase of 13 days this time. I don't think anyone can really answer this for YOU, however you may get some answers from personal experience. I'd probably wait until day 28 at least, before taking the test, if your period hasn't come before then. Good Luck.

Hi, you didn't mention your age. If you are over 35 your cycle may begin to vary from month to month. Our bodies can be capricious and because your day of ovulation/luteal phase differed one month does not mean it will be the same the next. Good luck!

They say that your LP doesn't generally change from cycle to cycle, but that a one or two day variance is fine.

I would test at your normal 10 dpo. If its negative, wait a few days and try again. (providing AF doesn't show up, of course.)

Good luck and tons and tons of Baby Dust!!!

I'm not being a smart ***, but seriously curious. How do you know exactly when you ovulate?
