I don't think she's "homophobic." I'm not sure how "I don't know where your hands have been" is a homophobic statement. You could say that to anyone and not mean it that way. Just that they may have been searching through the garbage before they shook hands with you.
I like Kelly Ripa. I think she's funny.
Clay just needs to move on.

Clay, putting his hand over Kelly's mouth, probably, was not the best decision. However, it was not the end of the world, and Kelly carrying on about it like she did was FAR more unprofessional than Clay covering her mouth in the first place.
I mean, come on, lets face it, there have been a million and one times someone should have covered that woman's mouth! I, personally, think it is pretty hilarious that Clay Aiken had the "kahunas" to do it!
Rosie.......she should have stayed out of it. Completely.

I'm surprised that Rosie made such a statement, considering that Clay has denied rumours of being gay. Has she let something out of the bag that only she is privy to. It was uncalled for and completely disrespectful to Kelly. I think this will turn on Rosie. Clay's people will do damage control but Rosie's comments will hurt her. What was she thinking? Why didn't she stay out of it?

No. I believe Clay went over the limit when he tried to cover Kelly's mouth and Kelly tried to make light of the situation instead of bursting out in anger. Clay was Kelly's guest but he did not act like one, he was rude and inconsiderate. Clay owes an apology to Kelly
Rosie should just stay out of the picture. Who knows where her mouth has been!!!

No.
Rosie O'Donnell is a bully, liberal idiot who should not be on television.
Ripa said she didn't know where Clay's hands had been. That had nothing to do with his (supposed) sexual orientation. Men (usually)aren't nearly as conscientious about washing their hands as women. Plus, you shouldn't touch somebody else who really dislikes you, in the way that Aiken touched Ripa.

No it wasn't a homophobic comment. I agree with Kelly, I wouldn't want anybody putting their hands over my mouth. Rosie is just trying to bully everybody.

I think that "homophobic" is a misnomer.
It implies that the person is "scared" or "fightened" of gay people, when most people are not. Yes, they may not "understand" them but that is a completely different argument entirely. Just because you do not "like" gay people does not mean you are afraid of them.
Don't get me wrong here, I have no thoughts one way or the other. I think that a person should be free to live however they want to, but homophibic is the wrong word.

Tiny lil' spit fire Kelly has got bigger gonads that Clay & Rosie for putting them both in their rightful places!!!
Clay hasn't officially came out of the closet so I suppose from one homo to another she (Rosie) can "smell" it. LOL
Clay should know better to touch another human & he certainly would be singing in a higher octave if he'd laid a hand on me.
I am a Southern female & underneath all this Southern Belle upbringing velvet is a cast iron punch!!!!

I'm not quite convinced they were homophobic, however I do believe Kelly Ripka tends to say things as soon as they hit her brain. She doesn't take time to edit herself. But that is part of who she is.

Making exciting of a custom and then giving a nil.5-*** apology is only disgusting!!! She might desire to be reprimanded like all of us else. one element human beings forget approximately is that racism can ensue against any race. What some human beings think of is humorous might desire to be offensive to others. all of us contained in the publics eye needs to delicate to those subject concerns regardless in the event that they seem to be a comedian or no longer.
