Cause the PS3's gonna come up so any of you still keeping the legendary console even though the next gen will be dominating this generation?

People and I hope Sony, are beginning to realize there's more to games than graphics. The PS2 is still outselling the Xbox 360, because it's a classic machine with great games. Actually I don't think there will ever be a more successful console ever to be made.

The PS3 doesn't excite me. My TV is not high-def and I have no interest in Blu-ray whatsoever. I had high hopes the PS3 would emphasize games and games only, with legacy support for PS2 and the console that started it all, the Playstation!

I will never sell my PS2 (or PS1 for that matter) as I have over 100 games for each. In fact I just bought a new game for the PS2 today and am about to try it out. I'll never tire of my Playstations. As far as I'm concerned, the graphics are good enough for me, and BTW, I like the rumble (vibration) feature, thank you very much!

eventually all things, especially video game systems come to an end. Sony diehard fans will be moving to the PS3 when they can afford to, and everyone else moved on a long while ago, and the last major P2 project has finally been released (FF12) so I think it's safe to say the PS2 will now die a death by attrition...

I think that it will try to fight for a while, but Sony will continue to make more improvements in technology and graphics. Once they reach that certain point, they will die like everything else that was once popular. They were all the rage then something better(talking about games), less expensive(not talking about PS2, but other things), more fun, better graphics , etc. So I do think that it might just hold out for 5 years, then its going to die down.
