Does anyone know which requirements a person needs to become UN General Secretary ?

This is a serious question , so please serious answers only.
I did ask this question in the German Yahoo Clever also , but I didn't get solid answers. So maybe you can tell me a little bit more.
Does a person needs special requirements to become an UN General Secretary ? Must this person be a member of the UN already ? ( Sorry , but it's kind of difficult to form the right question :-))
I know that the person needs to be a citizen of the participating UN States. And I found out that most of all the people who have been UN General Secretary are also holders of the (Peace noble price ).I hope it is spelled right.

So if anybody can help me with this question , than please do. Maybe here are some smarter people than in the german yahoo clever :-)

Quick answer - no special requirements needed.

Long answer - Usually, the General Secretary is either a government worker in the diplomatic field from a neutral 3rd country (one where 90% of the other nations have no objection to), or a prominent activist. The only requirement for the General Secretary's position is 1) You have to be among the region that is selected for that chair (In order to prevent bias, the chair is usually moved from region to region every election. Kofi Annan came from the African region, the next General Secretary will come from the Asian region), and 2) you have to be elected by the General Assembly of the UN.

a man or woman with 5 years of journey won't think of a place that takes 30 to 40 years of journey. a man or woman in his early 20's nevertheless does not recognize what makes the worldwide pass around. First, pass to varsity and get a level in Political technological awareness, i assume. yet be conscious that political technological awareness majors are between the main unemployed college graduates in existence.
