The term survive is equal to the amount of money you have at any given moment. So if you have one months resources your survival is one month. This is what the wealthy use as a definition of "rich" or "poor" for survivals sake. A rich person has enough money to last the rest of their life and a poor person does not. So to answer the question, you have to know how long you are going to live and the amount of income generating assests, compared to the lifestyle you choose to live.
So if to live comfortable in todays society with say $60,000 for one year, you need assests that generate at least $60,000 for each year without touching the principal foundation of your wealth.
So it is not how much you have, it is how much can you generate from what you have.
Good question!

Most people on this planet--RIGHT NOW--survive on less than $3 a day.
So there's your answer: $3 a day.

Ttechnically money is pretty useless to survive. You can't eat it. All you can do is swap it for things which are usefull. If no one wants to swap anything for your money, the best thing you could do is burn it to keep warm.

Depends on the area. In some areas I would say $100,000/year to really live.
