If DNA analysis confirms no one belongs to a pure race, why is there so much racial hatred in the world?

The reason I ask this question is that DNA analysis is becoming quite popular, where people want to trace their roots through profiling. A lot of people find they have African, Arab etc. blood in them even though they are White. Given this evidence, why is there so much racial hatred in the world, when there is no such thing as a 'pure' race? It may not be possible to trace each human to a single ancestor, but all humans are somehow related to common ancestors, regardless of race.

It is not that there is no such thing as "pure" race there is only one race and that is homosapiens. So called racial hatred is hatred of someone who is different. You see it in all sorts of situations, Football team supporters, religious differences, some men hate women and visa versa. It is easy to say that it is down to ignorance and stupidity and sometimes it is. But it can also be a mental illness

My guess is that it is a "comfort" thing. If you were raised in an area where there was one dominant type of race, that may be what you are used to and therefore find attractive. Could be the same as being raised with people with a certain hair color and not really being attracted to people that don't have that hair color. It is all on an individual basis. A lot of people are just close minded also.

"most" people are mixed however When you say mixed race you may be confused or others might mis interperate this, that doesnt mean there is people from africa from say 1200 BC that were in your family, so if you are asian and you find mixed genes in your dna your ancestor did necesarily mate with an african or todays definition of a "black person" or a "White person" according to evolutionary science all homo sapians species are from africa Not that they were "black" but we all started out in the same place, there for your dna displays mixed genes with other ethnic groups. most ethnical diversity or "races" (wich are open to definition) developed much later on through mutations in isolated groups.

I come from a mixed raced backround with white,pakistani and jamacan relitives so im open minded but have experienced a lot of racial hatred and am supprised that in this day in age people still feel they have the need to be so ignorant but then a part of me feels sorry for those people because i think ther single minded and not well educated and they dont see it this way,so HAHA ther the ones that look stupid and iv got to say what a good question! im sure youll have plenty of anwers! x

Even if there were pure races, that does not give anyone a reason to be racist. I have wondered how people can be that way since I can remember. I can't even begin to comprehend the mindset of a racist person. I think they are just so unhappy with their lives that they have to put the blame on someone else. And they are ignorant idiots! How can they judge someone for something so superficial?

Ones genes are irrelevant to the subject.
Some people organise themselves into groups.
eg ..muslims.
I dont ask or care about the racial purity of these people.
but i do care about how they treat me and other members of the civilised world.
In other words its not a colour of skin many object to , but the behaviour of those people who happen to have that skin.
So tis quite easy for one to generalise and say that everyone who disapproves of arab muslim behaviour is a racist.
well, defending oneself against racism , isnt racist.

although if you every listen to the white supremacists combat18 types you'd swear they had some sort of mental illness its all blanket statements and generalisations. I think in a few years these people will be more pitied than scorned (and hopefully treated).

I totally agree.

But go back a little further and we are descended from apes, go back further still, we are descended from algae. an apes DNA is only 1% different than our own, a fly is only 10% different, so why do we buy fly spray in the summer?
