Start off with a used guitar but not too cheap. If you decide later that you don't really like playing you should be able to sell it for close to what you paid for it. A fender squier or an epiphone would be a good choice.

I play i have a Jackson dk2.a fender stratocaster,and a cheap harmony acoustic'you dont want to get something to cheap that will be hard to play or wont stay in tune but,the fender squire series guitars are very affordable and good for a begginer
