who do you think they best president was that we americans have ever had? and why?

In my lifetime, Reagan hands down. Ever I'd include Lincoln & Wasgington. All 3 took over during very difficult periods & prevailed over huge obstacles & long odds.

Washington.
He won the war for independence, gave up power & the head of government, and went home. Helped draft the constution. Created and led a rag-tag army that beat a superpower. Came back to government after being asked (the first form of government failed), and got the US back on it's feet. Prevented the nation from fracturing in it's first 10 years. After all that, the congress offered Washington a permanent presidency. He turned it down, and went home again. Even his old enemy, King George, marvelled at his integrety.

Reagen, because he put the beat down on the commies and jump started the economy at the same time.
ps FDR did a great job leading America during WW2
however FDR did not bring the country out of the depression WW2 did

President Bush because all of the bad things that happened during his term, and he is still going! Regan is was the best but Bush has had many more obstacles to over come during his presidency!

FDR
took this country from the depths of depression from the hands of a do nothing president and brought prosperity adn security and won WW2 all the while fighting a crippling disease.

Harry Truman. He made the hard decisions, took no crap from anyone and had respect for the office he held and the people who elected him to it.
